*If the deceased owned land in the township and has been placed in residence in a nursing home, he/she is considered a resident of Sheffield Township. Price include deed and recording. A property owner of Sheffield land can receive resident price.

Limitations: 2 cremains per lot. Cremains may be buried on top of existing vault
Cremains may not be removed for interment of a new vault
Cremains are to be in a permanent container
False setting, with no burial: $ 150.00 (nothing supplied - tent, chairs, etc.)
Vaults are required in this cemetery
Foundations for markers are $ 12.00 per cu. Ft., with a $ 125.00 minimum fee.
Foundation fee for bronze plaques for Veterans is waived.
Deadline for ordering foundations is April 1 and September 1.
NO STONE SHALL BE DELIVERED WITHOUT A FOUNDATION.
NO STONE SHALL BE SET BETWEEN NOVEMBER 15 AND MARCH 15.
Only one headstone per grave
No two burials will be scheduled at the same time
Indigent burials have a cost limit of $ 750.00. Cremains only
The following rules and regulations apply at our cemetery.
1) Plating is limited to plants and flowers (no trees) and are to be planted within 18 inches from headstone.
2) All foundations for headstone markers are put in by the sexton.
3) All markers are to face West unless otherwise approved by trustees.
4) No fences are allowed.
5) With all due consideration, the trustees give permission to the caretaker and/or the sexton to remove overgrown bushes or shrubs.
6) Artificial flowers and arrangements shall be removed by April 15.
7) Tree preservation (planting) will be done upon trustees decision.
The Sheffield Township Trustees will use responsible care in hiring competent cemetery employees who will do their work with customary carefulness. However, the township disclaims any responsibility or liability for accidents or damage to headstones, vases monuments or plantings resulting from ordinary hazards of cemetery work.
